This fin keel yacht has been shipped in from America to Southampton Docks on its own custom cradle and is then placed on what's called a 'MAFFI' which is a shipping platform that can be rolled onto a roll on, roll off (RORO) ship that normally travels with cars ,trucks etc. This is a safe and secure way of shipping your motor boat or yacht from places like the USA.The whole yacht and cradle can then be transferred onto my trailer for delivery in the UK or Europe. It is always advisable to shrink-wrap the boats because it stops pilfering, provides protection from the elements and shows any evidence of damage in shipping. We have delivered many boats and yachts that come over from the USA and can help with information and recommend clearing agents etc. We also have got to know the dockside staff and build up a good working relationship with them, which makes the transition through the port procedures that much easier and quicker. |
